Acid Reflux is caused when the proportions of the stomach move to the esophagus of the body. Acid Reflux is caused when the Lower Esophagus Sphincter (LES) doesn’t function properly and fluids travel back to the esophagus. There are different ways to reduce acid reflux and treat it permanently.

Acid Reflux is more prevalent in adults who are obese or overweight. If you’re more weight around your waist area, it puts pressure on your stomach and thus results in a high probability of GERD. When you are over-weight then you’re at higher risk of developing other diseases like diabetics, blood pressure, etc.
# Quit Drinking
Alcohol damages increase the possibility of GERD and damage the esophageal mucosa. Studies have shown that when patients have reduced the intake of alcohol their acid reflux has improved. Furthermore, LES dysfunctional is caused by alcohol, LES is very important in controlling acid reflux.
# Eat Clean
To get rid of acid reflux you have to have to clean it’s because it’s the food that you consume that triggers it. Researchers have found that when patients where on low fat and high protein diet the conditions improved in them. Try reducing dairy products, animal fat, fast foods, etc and add green vegetables and fruits in your diet.
# Regular Exercise
If you consider your weight to be healthy then consider working out and eating healthy. A workout can be anything from going to the gym or walking in the park.
# Wear Lose Clothes
It’s intriguing that clothes contribute to GERD. But tight bottom and belts put extra stress around the abdomen area. If you have acid reflux you should consider wearing lose clothes and not tight clothes.
